"An aspiring engineer driven by intellectual curiosity"
My name is Daniel Jeong, a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at
Columbia University, Class of 2020.
I am interested in: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computational Neuroscience, and Software Engineering.
Research Intern (June 2018 - Present)
Machine Learning & Instrument Autonomy Group
NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Ongoing work on devising a method to generate high-quality labels of HiRISE images of Martian Swiss cheese, performing pixel-wise random forest classification, and optimizing the classification performance through feature engineering and hyperparameter tuning.
Seminar on stance detection models involving MLPs, ConvNets, gradient-boosted Decision Trees, etc. implemented using API such as Theano and TensorFlow.
Python demo that displays two different 3D visualizations of the human heart (one generated by a trained AI engine, the other from actual MRI data) for comparison, implemented using the VisPy library.
